International Attendees

Planning to attend our event in Lagos, Nigeria? We're excited to welcome participants from across Africa and beyond. To ensure a smooth travel experience, please take note of the following visa-related information. The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) offers an online platform for visa applications.

Apply Online: Visit the NIS Visa Application Portal to complete your visa application.

Visa on Arrival: Eligible business travelers and citizens of African Union countries (excluding ECOWAS member states) can apply for a Visa on Arrival.

Requirement for a visa: Most international attendees will require a visa to enter Nigeria. Requirements vary by country, so we strongly recommend checking with the Nigerian embassy or consulate in your home country as early as possible. 

Need an Invitation Letter?
If you need an official invitation letter to support your visa application, please email ifmaglobalafrica@ifma.org with the following details:

    • Full Name (as it appears on passport)
    • Passport Number
    • Embassy to address the letter to
    • Company Name
    • Job Title
    • Email Address

Requirements for international attendees: You may also need to provide proof of accommodation, return flight tickets, and possibly proof of sufficient funds for their stay.

We recommend submitting your request as early as possible to allow sufficient time for visa processing.

From Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) to The Zone Gbagada

Distance: Approximately 13 km
Estimated Travel Time: 20–30 minutes (depending on traffic)

Ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt operate in Lagos. After clearing customs, you can book a ride directly to The Zone.

Public Transportation

Navigating Lagos's public transportation system can be an enriching experience, offering a glimpse into the city's vibrant daily life.
Here's how you can reach The Zone in Gbagada using public transit:

Head to Oshodi Interchange
After arriving, you can take a quick ride (via Uber, Bolt, or airport taxi) to Oshodi Transport Interchange — one of Lagos’ major transit hubs. If you’ve been to Accra, Nairobi, or Johannesburg, it’s a similar setup: busy, but organized.

From Oshodi to Gbagada
At Terminal 3, board a bus or danfo heading toward Gbagada or New Garage. These are common routes, and most drivers will understand if you mention you’re going to “Charlie Boy” — the popular bus stop closest to The Zone.

From Charlie Boy to The Zone
The venue is just a short walk (5–10 minutes) from the Charlie Boy bus stop, right beside the UPS building on Gbagada Expressway. Ask any nearby vendor or okada (motorbike) rider if you’re unsure — people are happy to help.
